What is up with the music behind these NBA highlights?
I love basketball but I don’t have cable so I spend a lot of mornings watching highlights on NBA.com. I usually don’t even notice the blend of uptempo guitars/drums/synths that accompany my favorite feats of athletic prowess, but this morning the music behind the highlights of this Jazz/Pacers game struck me as odd. Is there some big Leon Russell fan running things at NBA.com HQ? Was it a salute to the laid back rhythms of midwest life? It is at times jazzy and with a mid-range pace, do they pick the songs due to team names? SOMEONE HELP ME FIGURE THIS OUT.
